What does the ideal candidate look like?

We expect the candidates to be at least a sophomore in college. Though we do not have a minimum GPA requirement, it would be favorable for the candidate to have at least a 3.0 GPA. The candidate needs to either be majoring in Accounting or be majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

The candidate will need to have taken a Financial Accounting and a Managerial Accounting class prior to starting the internship. Additionally, the candidate will either need to have taken a Taxation class prior to starting the internship or be taking the Taxation class concurrently with the internship.

What colleges do you accept candidates from?

We do not have a set list of colleges from which we accept candidates. We are open to candidates from any college who wish to intern with us. Since this is a part-time internship and our interns are still enrolled in classes at their college, our interns tend to either be from the Cherokee County area or to be attending colleges within a reasonable drive to our firm.

Our past interns have attended Kennesaw State University, Reinhardt University, and the University of North Georgia while participating in our internship program.

How many hours am I expected to work per week?

We expect our interns to be scheduled for 16-32 hours per week.

Since your internship program is part-time, what is your scheduling policy?

We provide a very flexible schedule for our interns. Since our internship is part-time, we know that our interns will still be enrolled in their college classes while in the program. Prior to starting the internship, we will be in contact with the interns to see what times and days of the week will work well for both the firm’s staffing needs and the intern’s class schedule.
